Six months before He was executed, Jesus, our “Good Shepherd,” made an incredible promise to all people.  He said, “Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, will have Rivers of Living Water flowing up from within him or her.”

[1.  Adapted from John, chapter 7, verse 38.   This was a prediction of the founding of the Spiritual movement that today we call “Christianity.”   Seven months after Jesus spoke these words, the Holy Spirit founded Christianity in a rented house in downtown Jerusalem, Israel.]

These “Rivers of Living Water” are a special inner motivation only available to Christians.   When their power is released in a Christian’s life, they create a unique lifestyle of healing, answered prayers, peace, comfort, and miracles unlike any other lifestyle on earth.  The problem is that this amazing lifestyle is rare among today’s Christians.  This blog explains why that’s true, and what to do about it.  Our goal is to show people how to live the “Early Christian Lifestyle” today – and so that’s the purpose of this blog, and the book Saving Christianity, and our podcast “Saving Christianity.”

Links to the blog, the book, and the podcast are listed below.  Enjoy them.  Our prayer is that all of us will have the same peace, healing, love, and hope that Christians had when Christianity was young, and when the original Christians walked the streets with a love for one another that amazed the world.[2.  Adapted from an incident in Second Century Rome when a man named Natalis was watching a group of Early Christians in the street and said to his friends, “Look at them!  They love one another almost before they know one another!”  The incident was recorded for history by a Christian lawyer in Rome named Marcus Minucius Felix in his Octavius record, chapter 2, verse 2.]
