The Angel In My Living Room      A small group of Spirit-filled Christians used to meet for worship in my living room every Lord's Day, and I still remember those meetings as some of the most Spiritual times of my life.  It was also in one of those meetings that I saw the angel who completely [...]

The Spirit Guided His Escape To England

The Spirit Guided His Escape To England      I read mostly non-fiction – history and biographies – and I like rare and out-of-print books.   So I was touched recently when a close Christian friend gave me a rare biography from England.  It's the story of Wing Commander Edward A. "Ed" Howell's escape from enemy occupied Greece [...]

Jack") phoned me with the news that his congregation had just had a vicious "church split."      For several weeks, two rival factions in his congregation had been feuding over the music program, when suddenly on Sunday morning a [...]

The Surgeon Said "It's A Miracle"      A woman in a local congregation told me this story.  Let's call her "Jane."  Jane had stomach pains and nausea and went to her doctor to be tested for cancer.  Instead of cancer, the doctor found an inflamed pancreas and eventually cured it with medication.      However, the doctor's tests [...]

“I Don’t Want Him To Think I’m A Prude!”

I Don't Want Him To Think I'm A Prude!"      I read an article recently about a Christian girl who had a non-Christian boyfriend and – since she was a Christian – she wouldn't have sex with him.  But that worried her.  She said, "I don't want him to think I'm a prude."      That statement saddened [...]

Has God Forgiven Every Rotten Thing I Did?

Has God Forgiven Every Rotten Thing I Did?      Question to O. A.:  I'm a Christian with a simple but important question.  Has God forgiven me for every rotten thing I've done in my life?  J. P. in Nevada.      Dear J. P.:  The short answer to your question is, "Yes."  You're a Christian, so God has [...]

He Survived The Worst Crash In History

He Survived The Worst Crash In History      Several years ago, I met Norm Williams at a business conference and we had dinner together.  That night he told me the story of how he survived the worst plane crash in world history, and he told me how his story proves that God gives miraculous supernatural power [...]
