The Christian Family Online in America, Inc., sponsors this website and the Saving Christianity book, podcast, and retreat. CFO is a donor-funded 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to helping Christians live the miraculous Early Christian Lifestyle that the original Christians lived. We want every Christian to experience the same peace, healing, and hope that Christians enjoyed when Christianity was founded.
CFO was founded in 2000 by Owen Allen, an author and former professor, dean, and consultant in Organizational Behavior to Fortune 500 corporations such as General Electric, General Motors, Hilton Hotels, John Deere, and local, state, and federal governments.
Owen is also a historian of Early Christian history who has studied Christian ruins, paintings, writings, symbols, and artifacts in Israel, Italy, Turkey, and Greece. He has stood on the spot on Mars Hill in Athens where Paul gave his “Unknown God” sermon. Owen has walked the cobblestone streets of Ephesus where Paul, John, Timothy, and many other Bible characters once walked.
Owen has prayed in the cave on the island of Patmos where John wrote the book of Revelation. He has studied the ruins of Peter’s home on the shores of Lake Galilee. He has climbed the ancient steps in Jerusalem that Jesus was dragged up the night He was arrested. And in Rome, Owen studied the prison cells where Peter and Paul were held, and the graves where they were buried after they were executed.
Also in Rome, Owen studied the ancient Christian artwork and symbolism in the catacombs that date from the First Century, and that are the only surviving original Christian artwork and symbols. These experiences – added to his own deeper walk as a Christian – have given Owen a unique understanding of Early Christian behavior, and of how that same behavior can be experienced by Christians today when they seek the deeper spiritual walk. This is why CFO was founded. That walk is our message. And helping you experience that deeper walk too is our mission.
